TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Nanuet, NY No relocations. No telecommuting. You must be authorized to work in the United States.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Start-up company is seeking a talented Software Engineer (LAMP technology kit) to join our growing team and execute on current and future development initiatives. In this capacity s/he will actively act as a developer integral in key technology projects related to our product, from Application Design and Coding through QA testing/Delivery. S/he will also be able to work well in a team environment and provide input and suggestions in all aspects of the software development life cycle to the other members of the technology group. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide daily reporting to Senior Software Engineer of development activities along the product roadmap, and offer guidance in future product offerings and enhancements.
- Be organized and forward-thinking to ensure a quick response to rapidly evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure product releases are coordinated in terms of both time and technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years experience in software development and web development.
- Working knowledge of iterative development processes spanning full project life cycle.
- Excellent organizational, decision making and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing business needs with a solid commitment to development excellence.
- A solid foundation of database schema; SQL experience
- Ability to thoroughly trace code
- Detail oriented, with exemplary follow-through skills.
- Team Player, with excellent consensus-building skills.
- Knowledge of a diverse range of technologies and platforms, including:
- CSS, HTML, PHP5+, MySQL 5.1+, XML/Feeds, Linux, Apache, JavaScript, AJAX, object oriented language
- Ability to merge entrepreneurial spirit with robust development processes.
- High energy, self-motivated, quick learner; eager to get the job(s) done.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant Technology field.

COMPENSATION:
Salary $40-50K with potential for bonuses and equity.
